Like a beating heart, The Thames River flows through the heart of London. The city is located where it is due to the Thames river, from agriculture to industry the River allowed London to grow into the city it is today. The Museum of London Docklands, focuses on the history of the Thames river and the important role it has played in helping London become a major metropolitan city. The Museum is located on the banks of the Thames and is housed in a series of historical sugar warehouses.

The collection has artifacts from the Romans to present day. The collection shows how ports of London allowed England to rule much of the world at one time. It is a truly unique collection. The museum is a wonderful place for families as well. This is another attraction that is indoors so if you get caught in dreary London weather and need an indoor attraction, I would strongly recommend this one.
