It’s often said that the history of London is the history of it’s public transport system, which is what makes this museum so interesting. Located in Covent Garden, this multimedia experience takes you through the entire history of modern London based on it’s transport infrastructure.

This includes actors playing parts of historical figures, real life trains, buses and rolling stock from throughout history. My favorite is all the Tube cars through history. You can even learn to drive a Tube car in a simulator. It’s a very hands on museum and a lot of fun.

If you can’t stump up the money for admission, at least plan to stop in the gift shop which is a dream for any aficionado of  the Tube.
