London is justifiably proud and respectful of its wartime heritage and the number one stop to explore World War II and its affects on London is the Cabinet War Room and the Churchill Museum.

During the days of WWII, Churchill and his government kept safe in this warren of tunnels and rooms under the Ministry of Defense. You can see how Churchill directed the war and how people lived during the age. I highly recommend the audio tour that will frame the events that took place there.

Also, a recent addition is the Churchill Museum which is a new official museum dedicated to Winston Churchill’s life. Don’t miss this attraction.
