There are a handful of iconic buildings across the world, Buckingham Palace has the honor of being one of them. The Palace is the Her Majesty’s official London residence. The Palace can be toured at certain points in the year and is sure not to be missed while you are in London. You can tour the historic State rooms, The Picture Gallery, The Gardens and a special exhibit celebrating the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It is so neat to walk through an actual royal palace, and a national landmark. The tour showcases artifacts from the Royal Family dating back to Queen Victoria’s time at the Palace.

Please be aware that The Palace is only open during certian times of the year, as it is The Queen’s residence and her office as well. If you cannot tour the inside of the palace while you are in London you can see The Changing of the Guard everyday outside of the Palace. You must at least walk by The Palace on a trip to London, your trip would not be complete without it.
